This post on Interactive Traders comes from the one and only person I have ever heard from who did indeed get their $997 back by doing the live trades and proving it. I emailed him back and asked if I could use this email in my blog and he happily agreed, hoping that it helps someone.
Here is Michael’s story from his Interactive Traders seminar attended sometime in 2017. He emailed me in February 2018, when he finally got his refund. Enjoy!
Michael – February 2018
My story is similar to yours, so I won’t bore you with the details however I thought it important to pass this information on to your readers. It’s regarding the Tuition Reimbursement guarantee that Interactive Trader uses to hook us all into opening our wallets. Like so many other victims of this scam I committed to the initial three-day training, paid the fee, and completed the requirements for tuition reimbursement.
Days later I was informed that Interactive Trader’s was reviewing my submission. Within the week I received another email stating that my request for tuition reimbursement would be granted. Hooray, I was getting my money back, or so I thought.
Here are the bullet points of my refund experience:
– Weeks go by, no check
– I email, what’s the status?
– They say “oops” we have an incorrect address
– I correct
– Weeks go by, no check, I email
– (response) Could take up to 6 weeks to issue a check based on volume.
– I wait 6 weeks, still waiting…
– I email, what’s the status?
– (response) We issued your check and mailed it, you didn’t get it? We’ll reissue another.
– I wait weeks
– I email, what’s the status?
– (response) Someone must be picking up your checks?
– I expose the scam and threaten legal action
– (response) So sorry for the confusion we’re experiencing on our end. We’ll look into this right away.
– I wait two weeks
– I email, what’s the status?
– No response
– My wife says “give it up”
– I email, threaten legal action again
– (response) can you please verify your address? We have xxxx Table Rd.
– I correct address again writing it three times in a row and (snarkily) saying ” see I wrote my address three times without making a mistake! Maybe you could do it one time right!
– (response) checks in the mail
– I wait two more weeks
– HOLY CR@P! A check shows up in the mail
The moral of the store is don’t give up! It only takes a few minutes to email them and even though it took over 5 months to get my money back, I eventually did. The reality is that Interactive Trader can’t keep scamming consumers “en mass” without now and then giving in to some “crazy person ” like me that just won’t let it go.
Of course, I will be submitting a complaint to the Better Business Bureau and if my schedule lines up I may go to one of the seminars and warn others.
I emailed Michael and asked him if I could use his story and I also asked him if he signed up for the Interactive Traders elite education or pursued training elsewhere.
He replied and let me know that he did do the 15 live trades, but instead of trading options, he purchased some penny stocks relating to marijuana grow operations out in California. He didn’t consider any further training with them. He told me he realized that they were milking students to sign up for a bigger and more exclusive (expensive) program.
I loved reading this email and love knowing that it is possible to get your money back. I didn’t even try, but it can be done.
